Admissions – Access Our Services

Our admissions department handles all inquiries about accessing our services. We also help families navigate a complex system of service within child welfare and mental health.

We receive an average of 115 initial calls per month from parents, caregivers, school teachers, insurance companies and others. Our admissions team focuses on customer service – whether you are or will become a client is not our primary goal. We strive to support every caller in connection to the needed services. Our primary goal is to do everything we can for each client. The admissions staff determines if the services Tennyson Center offers are right for a client, collects the required information and consents to serve the client, and establishes initial goals for treatment.

Making a Referral

We accept referrals from human services agencies, mental health centers, providers, schools, and parents/caregivers. To make a referral or to inquire about any of our programs, please call 303-433-1232. Referral information may also be emailed to or faxed to 303-433-9702.

Our admissions team responds to inquiries within 24 hours. First, we will conduct a brief screening by phone to determine your needs and discuss programming options. To expedite this process, you may fax documents to ATTN: Admissions at 303-433-9702. These documents could include recent psychiatric evaluation/assessments, a current Individual Education Plan (IEP), and any other available diagnostic information. Next, if appropriate, we will schedule a face-to-face interview and make a plan for admission. In the event we do not offer services that meet your needs, we will do our best to recommend alternative resources.

Quality Assurance

Our quality assurance team maintains accreditation and licensing to provide services to our clients. Quality assurance uses data to inform better practices allowing us to create a better service. We are accountable to our staff, clients, caregivers, governing bodies and other stakeholders for creating the best possible therapeutic services and work environment.
